In-game Currency Income Tax

This is fascinating to me, but I’m a nerd.

Taxation of virtual currencies – particularly within video games – is an emerging revenue stream, one that the IRS is still clearly trying to figure out. Game engines are on the verge of becoming banks… actual banks. Guess what? That’s going to throw a whole new problem into their business model because it exposes them to something that their industry isn’t priced for: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency oversight.

JOKER (2019)

Joker is a complete and deeply disturbing reinterpretation of the villain’s origins, as textured and volatile as it is uncomfortable to watch. The narrative flips “crazy and evil” into mental illness, victimization and circumstance that drive Arthur Fleck into the delusional madness and transformation of the Joker.

Moon (Netflix)

Sci-fi exceptionally written and executed, while brilliant acted by Sam Rockwell. There’s so much to say here, but it all gives away the pivot in the plot. Writer/director Duncan Jones really turned this into a compelling human story set on the surface of the moon with two characters: a man and a robotic assistant. You need to see this and you have to give it until the 1 hour mark. You won’t be disappointed.
